I take your data privacy seriously. I keep my privacy policy as simple as possible. I am Emma Hogg - an Advanced Coaching Practitioner with training accreditation recognised by the Association for Coaching.

Why do I hold and store this information?
I hold this data for legitimate business reasons relating to the provision of the coaching services I provide and to comply with HMRC Tax requirements.

I collect information from and about you through information you provide. I receive personal information about you from you when you use my website, complete forms on my website, if you contact me by phone, email or otherwise in respect of any of my services or during the purchasing of any such service.

How do I store your data?
I store your data on my website hosted by Wix.

I also store it in my spreadsheets for monitoring purposes of attendance at sessions and payments.

I require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

How you can delete your data
You can completely delete your data at any time, by contacting me directly.

Security of Data/Data storage
As the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my site and any transmission is at your own risk.

Data I keep that you submit via my website is stored by Wix - an established reputable organisation (see below for further information). Your data is saved on secure servers and may be stored outside of Europe. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this.

My website, computer and spreadsheets are backed up and password protected.

My session notes taken during coaching are securely stored in a locked cabinet.

Data Retention
I will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

On the ending of your custom, I may keep your data for up to 6 years after you have cancelled your services with me. I may not be able to delete your data before this time due to our legal and/or accountancy obligations. I assure you that your personal data shall only be used for these purposes and otherwise deleted.

When you visit my website the site may store some information (commonly known as a ‘cookie’ on your computer or device) to give you a better user experience. Overall, cookies help me provide you with a better website, by enabling me to monitor which pages people find useful and which you do not. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Only in exceptional circumstances such as risk to yourself or others, other services such as your GP or police may be contact without your consent.

I keep this Privacy Policy under review and may modify or amend it from time to time at my discretion. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. If I make changes, the revised Privacy Policy will apply to you and your information from that date. This policy is effective from 01/05/2022.

Access to collected information
You have the right to request a copy of personal data that I keep about you, to have any inaccurate information about you corrected, to have your data deleted or to ask me to stop using your data. Although there are legal and accountancy reasons why I will need to keep your data (see above), please do inform me if you think I am retaining or using your personal data incorrectly.

I aim to respond to all legitimate requests as soon as possible and within one calendar month of receipt. Occasionally it may take me longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, I will notify you and keep you updated.
